Consultations & Care
Personal cardiology consultations, expert second opinions, and guidance for further diagnostic and treatment decisions in Berlin.

Online Consultation
After you contact us with a request for an online consultation, you will be offered a convenient appointment time. Consultations are usually conducted via Zoom; Skype may also be used if preferred. You may indicate your preferred days and times in your initial message.
During the consultation, your symptoms, medical history and available findings are reviewed. The aim is to provide an initial assessment, discuss possible next steps, and clarify whether an in-person cardiology evaluation in Berlin may be reasonable.
If further diagnostics, procedures or treatment in Berlin appear appropriate and you wish to proceed, coordination with the hospital’s International Office can be arranged.
Coordination fee: 290 Euro
If you already have examination results or medical documents that are difficult to understand, they can be reviewed and explained in clear, accessible language. This may include ECGs, echocardiography reports, angiography findings, CT or MRI reports, laboratory results, discharge letters, or recommendations for procedures and further tests.
The aim is to help you understand the medical findings, the terminology used, the possible relevance of the results, and the reason why a certain diagnostic or treatment approach may have been recommended.
Many patients are uncertain whether a proposed procedure is necessary, whether the indication is strong, or whether alternative treatment options may exist. A second opinion can help clarify the medical reasoning, possible benefits and risks, and available alternatives based on the information provided.
Existing test results can be re-evaluated and discussed in a structured and understandable way. If needed, a short written summary of the interpretation or consultation can be provided.
Final diagnosis, treatment decisions, procedural indications and informed consent require personal medical evaluation and cannot be replaced by an online review.
A full range of cardiological diagnostics and treatments can be organized in Berlin, including echocardiography, cardiac CT and MRI, coronary angiography, device therapy (pacemakers, ICD, CRT), electrophysiological studies and ablation, as well as transcatheter valve procedures.
Depending on your individual situation, an initial estimation of diagnostic and treatment costs can be provided in advance.
As a general orientation, electrophysiological procedures such as atrial fibrillation ablation may range between 10,000 and 25,000 Euro. Coronary angiography with stenting may vary from approximately 1,200 to 7,000 Euro, depending on complexity. Device therapy depends largely on the system used: a single-chamber pacemaker may start from around 1,000 Euro, while more advanced systems such as CRT-D devices can reach up to 20,000 Euro, with the device itself accounting for the major part of the cost.
Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) procedures can also be arranged in a specialized partner clinic. In addition, transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) procedures for the mitral and tricuspid valves may be considered where clinically appropriate. These interventions are performed in a dedicated specialized setting, and costs are calculated individually depending on the specific clinical situation, anatomical findings, and technical requirements.
All recommendations are individualized, and procedures are only considered when medically appropriate.
Whether you have had a consultation, a second opinion, or a procedure arranged in Berlin, ongoing support is available whenever needed. Follow-up may include review of new findings, clarification of results, or guidance on the next steps.
For selected procedures, long-term follow-up can be offered, including remote monitoring where appropriate. For example, many cardiac devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators can be followed up remotely.
Details regarding follow-up options will be discussed individually as part of your consultation or treatment plan.
